News from in and around the education and training sector.

Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP) Open!!!

It’s finally here! The RoATP has landed and will be open until 5pm on the 25th of November. There are 3 application routes depending on your organisation and that part you wish to play within the delivery of Apprenticeships from May 2017.

The SFA have released several documents to support your journey through the application process.

Guidance: Register of apprenticeship training providers: policy information

Guidance: Apprenticeship funding: how it will work

Guidance: Apprenticeship funding and performance management rules 2017 to 2018

The SFA have also announced that they will also launch a procurement for apprenticeship delivery for smaller employers who will not pay the levy. This will run in parallel to the register being open. Applicants for the procurement will need to apply to the main application route and, if successful in the procurement, will be awarded a contract.

The new rules mean that subcontracting for end to end Apprenticeship delivery is effectively dead so if you want to continue to deliver Apprenticeships after May 2017 then you need to get on RoATP.

We’ll be supporting organisations through the application process. If you’d like to speak to someone about how we can support you in your application call 0845 257 9500 today. We expect a lot of interest in this service so call early to avoid disappointment.
